PRE-REGISTRATION FOR STABILITY FUND RFAs

The purpose of the SPRING (Stability, Peace and Reconciliation in Northern Uganda) Project is to address the causes and consequences of conflict in order to promote stability, peace, and reconciliation in Uganda.  Based in Gulu, the three year program is designed to work with all actors in the civil society, private sector, and local and national government to demonstrate best practices in addressing the stabilization needs of the north.

At the center of SPRING is the Stability Fund, a grants fund that will support a variety of interventions to promote peace and reconciliation, economic security and social inclusion, and improved access to justice for conflict-affected populations.  Interventions will be tendered on a competitive basis to any organization that is pre-registered under SPRING.  Local facilitators, NGOs, consulting firms, independent consultants, training institutions, business associations, community-based organizations, and lead firms operating within the private sector may all register.  Particular skills related to peace and reconciliation, conflict mitigation, improved access to justice systems, rural micro-enterprise development, value-chain facilitation, and agriculture/agribusiness are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be Ugandan entities, legally constituted and in complete compliance with the laws of Uganda governing such entities.  The organization must show evidence of availability of appropriately qualified staff and expertise to perform work contracted under the SPRING Program.

Those entities wishing to register with the program should complete the two-page registration form and transmit it to the SPRING Grants Manager at the address shown below.  Applicants may send an email to the address indicated below to receive a registration form or download the registration form provided at our website http://www.springuganda.com/announcements.htm.  Registration forms can also be obtained from the SPRING office in Gulu.  Successful applicants will have their details entered into our implementing partner database and will be eligible to respond to tenders under the STABILITY Fund.

Applicants are encouraged to submit registration forms as soon as possible.  Completed application forms should be sent to:
